The Norwegian Version of the Self-Efficacy in Clinical Performance Scale (SECP): Psychometric Validation Study

The Norwegian Version of the Self-Efficacy in Clinical Performance Scale (SECP): Psychometric Validation Study

The study was conducted at one of the biggest universities in Norway, which offers nursing education at the bachelor level. A convenience sampling method was used to recruit participants for psychometric testing of the SECP (Norwegian version). We aimed to recruit a sample of 400 nursing students to ensure at least 10 responses per item in the SECP, accounting for potential withdrawals from the study [20].

Machine Learning–Based Prediction of Substance Use in Adolescents in Three Independent Worldwide Cohorts: Algorithm Development and Validation Study

Machine Learning–Based Prediction of Substance Use in Adolescents in Three Independent Worldwide Cohorts: Algorithm Development and Validation Study

This study was primarily designed to develop an ML model for substance use prediction among adolescents using three distinct nationwide datasets: Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-Based Survey (KYRBS) from South Korea [10], Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) from the United States [6,11], and Norwegian nationwide Ungdata surveys (Ungdata) from Norway [12]. KYRBS was initially used to train the ML model, followed by the external validation process using the YRBS and Ungdata.

Leveraging Machine Learning to Identify Subgroups of Misclassified Patients in the Emergency Department: Multicenter Proof-of-Concept Study

Leveraging Machine Learning to Identify Subgroups of Misclassified Patients in the Emergency Department: Multicenter Proof-of-Concept Study

In Norway, no triage system is used consistently nationwide, with different regions either using the Manchester Triage System (MTS) [8], the Rapid Emergency Triage and Treatment System (RETTS) [9], or a modified version of the South African Triage Scale (SATS) [10]. MTS is among the best-studied systems worldwide, and there is much more limited evaluation of RETTS and SATS, especially considering what factors influence their performance [1,3,4].

Medication Self-Management for Home Care Users Receiving Multidose Drug Dispensing: Qualitative Interview Study

Medication Self-Management for Home Care Users Receiving Multidose Drug Dispensing: Qualitative Interview Study

In Norway, as in several other countries, there is now a trend toward shorter hospital stays due to an increased focus on providing health and care services in patients’ homes [9,10]. Consequently, more individuals with medication management problems are living at home with help from home care services. One of the main goals of the service is to enable individuals to live in their homes for as long as possible, both to improve the quality of life and to contain costs for the health system.

Experiences and Expectations of Information and Communication Technologies in Flexible Assertive Community Treatment Teams: Qualitative Study

In Norway, there are approximately 70 FACT teams targeting adults [6] and 5 teams targeting youth. Most FACT teams are organized as a cooperation between specialist care and primary care within one or more municipalities. FACT teams in rural areas often include multiple municipalities and are distributed over several locations [7].

Implementation of E-prescription for Multidose Dispensed Drugs: Qualitative Study of General Practitioners’ Experiences

Among the medications still prescribed on paper are multidose drugs; in Norway, the goal is to transfer these to the e-prescription system. Toward this end, the Norwegian health authorities have begun testing e MDD within the e-prescribing system. e MDD means that an electronic medication list and e-prescriptions replace the paper list and fax.
