Usability of a Co-designed eHealth Prototype for Caregivers: Combination Study of Three Frameworks

The research project protocol of the entire study can be found in the paper by Latulippe et al [21], and results on user needs, requirements, and overall process and design decisions are presented in 3 papers [22-24]. A total of 74 co-designers were recruited, including 30 caregivers, 26 community workers, and 18 health professionals.

Promoting Identification and Use of Aid Resources by Caregivers of Seniors: Co-Design of an Electronic Health Tool

A pilot study conducted by Latulippe et al [7] highlights the factors influencing caregivers’ help-seeking process. This study reveals that they need effective tools early in the process of the loss of independence to help them identify the appropriate resources to meet their needs and those of the older person they are helping.

Prioritizing the Needs of Caregivers of Older Adults to Support Their Help-Seeking Process as a First Step to Developing an eHealth Tool: The Technique for Research of Information by Animation of a Group of Experts (TRIAGE) Method

This study was part of a broader participatory study using a 3-phase co-design approach: (1) identifying the needs of caregivers in terms of tools to support their help-seeking process, (2) developing a tool for caregivers corresponding to the needs expressed, and (3) testing the usability of the tool (see Latulippe et al [13] for more details). This study presents the first step of the design phase (box of Phase 2—Figure 1).
