Agreement Between Apple Watch and Actical Step Counts in a Community Setting: Cross-Sectional Investigation From the Framingham Heart Study

Agreement Between Apple Watch and Actical Step Counts in a Community Setting: Cross-Sectional Investigation From the Framingham Heart Study

To examine the agreement between devices on days when both devices were worn for >10 hours (sample 1), we reported the intraclass correlation (ICC) using the random-effects model in our 2 study samples and used the Lin concordance coefficient (accounting for repeated observations). We also used kappa coefficients to assess concordance between the devices in identifying participants meeting thresholds of average daily steps (at 3000, 6000, 8000, and 10,000 steps per day).
