Authors’ Response to Peer Reviews of “Assessment of SARC-F Sensitivity for Probable Sarcopenia Among Community-Dwelling Older Adults: Cross-Sectional Questionnaire Study”

Scores are clustered at the lower end of the scale in both groups but display greater dispersion and right skew among females. These distributions support the use of non-parametric statistical methods for between-group comparisons.” Before validating the cutoff value of the SARC-F based on grip strength, it’s crucial to establish a robust relationship between grip strength and the SARC-F.

Prompt Framework for Extracting Scale-Related Knowledge Entities from Chinese Medical Literature: Development and Evaluation Study

Prompt Framework for Extracting Scale-Related Knowledge Entities from Chinese Medical Literature: Development and Evaluation Study

Transforming unstructured scale-related documents into computable and accessible knowledge systems, such as knowledge graphs, could help alleviate the burden on practitioners and promote MBC adoption [8]. The key to this transformation lies in accurately extracting scale-related knowledge entities from unstructured medical texts. However, several challenges complicate this task.

Performance of an Electronic Health Record–Based Automated Pulmonary Embolism Severity Index Score Calculator: Cohort Study in the Emergency Department

Altered mental status was defined as Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) In March 2022, a “pre-commitment” strategy was implemented in our ED to encourage outpatient management of low-risk acute PE [21]. The e PESI was calculated in all patients in whom a CT-PE was ordered. In patients with e PESI Image of the best practice alert presented to clinicians, depicting the Electronic Pulmonary Embolism Severity Index (e PESI) score.

Peer Review of “Development and Content Validity of the Handwashing Index (Preprint)”

Peer Review of “Development and Content Validity of the Handwashing Index (Preprint)”

This important qualifier could be done in places such as the name of the index itself (eg, handwashing [frequency] index), the abstract (eg, “There is no validated scale to measure [the frequency of] this habit”), and the conclusion (eg, “Interventions aimed at improving [the frequency of] handwashing in the global community”). The cutoff point for item scoring appears too low, as a score of 4 is categorized as regular practice, despite the reported highest score being 20.

Automated Pain Spots Recognition Algorithm Provided by a Web Service–Based Platform: Instrument Validation Study

Self-report measures involve asking the person to rate his or her level of pain on a scale, such as the Visual Analog Scale or the Numeric Rating Scale [5]. A promising way of evaluating pain using drawings is known as the Pain Drawing Scale [6-10]. Digital technologies have had a significant influence on the evolution of pain drawings (PDs), with different applications in the field of medical apps [11].

Development and Validation of a Mobile-Centered Digital Health Readiness Scale (mDiHERS): Health Literacy and Equity Scale

Development and Validation of a Mobile-Centered Digital Health Readiness Scale (mDiHERS): Health Literacy and Equity Scale

Step 1 involved a literature review to derive the initial scale items related to digital health literacy and digital health equity. Step 2 aimed to gain qualitative insights into the initial scale items by conducting focus group interviews (FGIs) with 6 patients with IBD and 6 experts, followed by an evaluation of the content validity of the initial scale items by 8 experts. Step 3 evaluated the validity and reliability of the final scale items quantitatively with 440 patients with IBD.
