Breath-Focused Mindfulness and Compassion Training in Parent-Child Dyads: Pilot Intervention Study
Each session was kept brief to facilitate adherence in busy families, and up to 30 training sessions were available for families to practice over 3 months. We referred to the program as Cooperative Compassion (Co Co) training, and both parent and child underwent the practices together.

The web-based learning module was designed as a very brief, asynchronous, video-based, nonexperiential training intended to serve as a “survival” training. This format and length were chosen to accommodate the busy schedules and workflows of clinical staff in Michigan Medicine. Video content was planned to be filmed at the in-person training; however, due to the aforementioned changes, we instead filmed at a Michigan Medicine clinical location.
