Thematic Analysis of Smoking Cessation and Future Cessation Interventions for Cancer Survivors: Convenience Sampling Study

Thematic Analysis of Smoking Cessation and Future Cessation Interventions for Cancer Survivors: Convenience Sampling Study

Video-based interventions hold promise for a variety of other health considerations (eg, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, HIV, etc) by improving patient knowledge, facilitating health behavior changes, and increasing self-efficacy. However, many video intervention studies have been found to be at moderate to high risk of bias [12], and video interventions in the context of smoking cessation have not been as widely tested.

The Effect of Discharge Planning Videos and Booklets on Quality of Life Among Patients With Heart Failure: Quasi-Experimental Study

The Effect of Discharge Planning Videos and Booklets on Quality of Life Among Patients With Heart Failure: Quasi-Experimental Study

It is hypothesized that patients who receive discharge planning with video and booklet support will experience a significantly greater improvement in Qo L compared to those who receive standard discharge planning alone. This quasi-experimental study was conducted at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital from July to November 2024. Such studies offer a valuable alternative for estimating causal relationships and are increasingly used as more observational data become available [30].

Web-Based Video Platforms as Sources of Information on Body Image Dissatisfaction in Adolescents: Content and Quality Analysis of a Cross-Sectional Study

Web-Based Video Platforms as Sources of Information on Body Image Dissatisfaction in Adolescents: Content and Quality Analysis of a Cross-Sectional Study

Video platforms have become the primary medium for adolescents to seek health information since video content is more vivid and efficient than traditional text-based information. However, it is difficult for users to access the reliability and quality of the video content because of the lack of peer review and guidelines. Studies examined the quality of educational videos concerning physical diseases on You Tube, covering topics like pain relief [22], kidney transplantation [23], and COVID-19 [24].

Web-Based Video Intervention and Associated Factors for the Uptake of the Catch-Up Human Papillomavirus Vaccination in Japan: Randomized Controlled Trial

Web-Based Video Intervention and Associated Factors for the Uptake of the Catch-Up Human Papillomavirus Vaccination in Japan: Randomized Controlled Trial

Reportedly, video-based informational interventions have positive effects on promoting voluntary vaccination, although they do not necessarily translate into positive behavioral outcomes of increased vaccination rates [19-21]. However, no study has targeted the generation Z (Gen Z) born between the late 1990s and the early 2000s [22].

Gait Disturbances in Older Adults With Cerebral Small Vessel Disease: Mixed Methods Study Using Smartphone Sensors and Video Analysis

Gait Disturbances in Older Adults With Cerebral Small Vessel Disease: Mixed Methods Study Using Smartphone Sensors and Video Analysis

The experimental setup controlled for variables independent of the video by managing the distance between the tripod and the participant, ensuring the participant occupied a consistent proportion of the video frame. This control allowed for the collection of consistent and reliable data across all participants and conditions. The field experimental environment is shown in Figure 1.

Postpartum Depression and Maternal-Infant Bonding Experiences in Social Media Videos: Qualitative Content Analysis

Postpartum Depression and Maternal-Infant Bonding Experiences in Social Media Videos: Qualitative Content Analysis

To our knowledge, no studies to date have used video-based social media to examine MIB in the context of postpartum depression. Video-based social media data can provide a detailed understanding of the experiences of women with postpartum depression as compared to text alone, capturing nonverbal communication and additional contextual factors.

Short, Animated Storytelling Video to Reduce Addiction Stigma in 13,500 Participants Across Multiple Countries Through an Online Approach: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

Short, Animated Storytelling Video to Reduce Addiction Stigma in 13,500 Participants Across Multiple Countries Through an Online Approach: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

The video was designed to resonate globally, across cultures, and traverse linguistic, literacy, and educational barriers. We hypothesize that a single exposure to the 2.5-minute intervention video will measurably reduce addiction stigma and boost hope, optimism, and empathy toward people with addiction in three culturally distinct global settings: the United States, the United Kingdom, and South Africa.

The Effect of a Brief Video-Based Intervention to Improve AIDS Prevention in Older Men: Randomized Controlled Trial

The Effect of a Brief Video-Based Intervention to Improve AIDS Prevention in Older Men: Randomized Controlled Trial

In China, there are few evidence-based studies on HIV/AIDS educational video interventions, especially randomized controlled trials to evaluate the effects of a video-based intervention on older men.

Exploring Technical Features to Enhance Control in Videoconferencing Psychotherapy: Quantitative Study on Clinicians’ Perspectives

Exploring Technical Features to Enhance Control in Videoconferencing Psychotherapy: Quantitative Study on Clinicians’ Perspectives

Additionally, VCP may not be the best option for some interventions, such as intentional silence (to enhance a patient’s exploration [64]) and the empty-chair dialogue, for therapists who may not like working by video for personal factors, or for clinicians who may struggle to apply specific techniques over video [47]. To address the goal, a survey was developed a survey to determine whether the aforementioned suggested technical features can help psychologists boost control over their VCP experiences.

Breast Cancer Vlogs on YouTube: Descriptive and Content Analyses

Breast Cancer Vlogs on YouTube: Descriptive and Content Analyses

Video themes were extracted both deductively and inductively. The themes collected deductively are described in Table 1. Descriptive and content analyses were performed to assess and analyze video content and potential areas where peer-to-peer support may be provided. Reviewers were encouraged to add subthemes inductively in cases where the content exceeded or was more specific than the deductive themes [12].
