Participant BP and heart rate data measured by these devices is transmitted via cellular connection to the SSC’s servers. Using the SSC’s API, the study’s Data Coordinating Center (DCC) developed a web application to accept participant data from the SSC’s servers via an internet connection.

AF disrupts the ability of the heart to pump blood effectively, resulting in a higher risk of blood clotting within the left atrium of the heart and an increased risk of stroke [6]. Based on the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines, patients with AF should undergo a stroke and bleeding risk assessment using the CHA2 DS2-VASc and ORBIT (Outcomes Registry for Better Informed Treatment of Atrial Fibrillation) scales, respectively.

Cardiotoxicity in Pediatric Cancer Survivorship: Retrospective Cohort Study
Cardiotoxicity, a term encompassing a spectrum of cardiovascular adverse effects, can manifest in various forms including cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and arrhythmias [3]. Multiple factors such as type of cancer, treatment modalities, and patient-specific characteristics [4] influence the risk of developing these complications.
Anthracyclines, a class of chemotherapeutic agents widely used in pediatric oncology, are particularly associated with cardiotoxicity [5].
