A Mobile and Ubiquitous Approach for Supporting Frailty Assessment in Elderly People

Fontecha et al identified the following indicators from the movement analysis as accelerometry indicators (for the three axes) [19]: arithmetic mean, standard deviation, absolute mean difference, acceleration mean, variance, amplitude, and Pearson coefficient of variation. This new group of parameters is also considered part of the frailty assessment. We propose collecting and analyzing these movement parameters using a mobile phone.
