SHAPs were introduced by Lundberg and Lee [16] in 2017 and were designed based on a game theory concept known as Shapley values. These values supported prediction interpretation, enabling the assessment of the relative importance among features. Additionally, they helped understand the characteristics with the greatest influence on the model’s predictions, assisting in model improvement or decision-making processes. The mathematical equation is as follows:
