Speech Processing as a Far-Transfer Gauge of Serious Games for Cognitive Training in Aging: Randomized Controlled Trial of Web-Based Effectivate Training

Speech Processing as a Far-Transfer Gauge of Serious Games for Cognitive Training in Aging: Randomized Controlled Trial of Web-Based Effectivate Training

Using the same eye-tracking paradigm, Nitsan et al [52,53] showed that listeners with larger WM capacity were able to identify the target word (and reject the signal-sharing competitor) earlier than a matched group with lower capacity. These findings suggest that improving one’s cognitive capacity might improve speech processing in adverse conditions. An example of the experimental display. The target word in this example, /ar.nav/ (rabbit), is represented in the bottom-left corner.
