DL is a subfield within ML that allows machines to use algorithms inspired by the structure of neural networks. A computer can learn how to classify images and how to assign labels to words in a sentence (semantic labeling) by using DL algorithms [5]. DL programming uses large quantities of unstructured data, calculates complex statistical models, and predicts outcomes without being explicitly programmed.

Teaching Hands-On Informatics Skills to Future Health Informaticians: A Competency Framework Proposal and Analysis of Health Care Informatics Curricula

Part 3 explored students’ suggestions for a new curriculum using open-ended questions. A Web-based questionnaire was sent to a total of 223 enrolled and graduated students in the master’s degree program. Overall, 45.7% (102/223) of the participants completed the questionnaire within 2 months of the survey period, and all survey submissions were suitable for analysis. Table 3 illustrates the general demographic characteristics of the participants.
