However, in Cho et al’s study [18], patients with and survivors of cancer’s use of electronic communication with health care providers was not significantly associated with the number of comorbidities. The inconsistent findings may be explained by the difference in age groups. Older adults with cancer experience more comorbidities, which may generate higher needs for health-related information seeking [46].
