Health Care Students’ Perspectives on Artificial Intelligence: Countrywide Survey in Canada
The most prominent current applications of AI in the medical field are in medical imaging analysis [3], particularly with the use of deep learning (DL). DL, a subfield of AI, is defined as “a type of artificial intelligence that uses a layered algorithmic architecture to analyze data” [6]. DL has a wide range of applications and is especially useful for identifying complex yet subtle discriminative patterns in images [3].
