A Digital Health Fall Prevention Program for Older Adults: Feasibility Study
Falls, defined as “unexpected event[s] in which the participant comes to rest on the ground, floor, or lower level,” are responsible for a wide range of negative health outcomes [2]. Annually, more than 3 million older Americans are treated in emergency departments for fall injuries, and over 800,000 are hospitalized, often because of a head injury or hip, spine, or wrist fracture [3].
