Two researchers (Y Li and Y Liu) managed and selected the literature, following this screening process: first, titles and abstracts were independently screened by the researchers. Full texts were obtained if at least 1 reviewer believed an article met the inclusion criteria. Subsequently, 2 reviewers independently verified the eligibility of references through full-text screening. If disagreements on inclusion arose and could not be resolved through discussion, a third reviewer (JM) was consulted.

VR as a vehicle for PR has a growing evidence base; for example, Liu et al [2] conducted a meta-analysis to explore VR’s role in COPD management and found that VR-assisted PR can improve lung function and exercise capacity. By making exercise engaging and immersive, delivery via VR potentially mitigates the monotony associated with traditional exercise–focused PR, encouraging regular participation and improving outcomes.

Eligible participants included cisgender men who were aged 15 to 24 years, self-reported being HIV negative or HIV status unknown at screening (technical pilot only), not currently taking Pr EP (technical pilot, as participants are testing an app, which assists with Pr EP uptake), fluent in English, owned an i OS or Android mobile phone, and had self-reported evidence of being at risk for HIV acquisition (detailed risk criteria are described in the study by Liu et al [26]).

In addition, Liu et al [24] reported that preoperative NT-pro BNP levels can more effectively predict postoperative AKI in patients undergoing noncardiac surgery, further corroborating the prognostic utility of NT-pro BNP.
Given that our study cohort consisted of patients with CHD, we included relevant pharmacological agents in the predictive model. Results revealed that antiplatelet therapy ranks first in importance in both the XGBoost and DT models.
