A statistical significance of P
To move forward in the decision-making process of whether to create a tool suitable for clinical practice, we focus on the 16 possibilities that could result from introducing a personalized prognostic model (Figure 1). In evaluating these possibilities, which depend on the patient’s behavior and the outcome predictions, we focus on the ethical foundation of medical professionalism to do no harm and have converted our numeric outcome into a binary to ease the discussion.
