Finally, panel D shows performance on the Digit Symbol Matching (DSM; n=20), with the y-axis representing the number of correctly completed matches. The DSM measures processing speed, where participants match symbols to corresponding digits as quickly as possible. The EMAs were sent on predetermined days throughout the month (week 1, EMA 1: Wednesday; week 2, EMA 2 and 3: Tuesday and Friday; week 3, EMA 4 and 5: Monday and Sunday; and week 4, EMA 6: Thursday).

D-tree was among the first organizations working in an LMIC to adopt digital payments. In 2011, D-tree piloted mobile money payments for CHWs, supervisors, and emergency transportation services [19,20]. In the next decade, organizations introduced digital payments for CHWs, such as malaria spray teams in Zambia, CHWs in Bangladesh and Kenya, tuberculosis screeners in Pakistan, and many others [19,21-24].
Donors accelerated the digital transition.
