In 2020, the VHA’s Office of Connected Care launched a new initiative to expand the VHA’s ability to collect PGHD from veterans who want to share their data through home medical devices (eg, digital glucometers) and activity trackers (eg, Fitbit) (Newton and Frisbee, unpublished data, 2020).
