Large Language Models in Medical Diagnostics: Scoping Review With Bibliometric Analysis
Given such observed limitations in medical knowledge, Li et al [140] introduced Chat Doctor, using the Llama model with an autonomous information retrieval mechanism. This allows real-time access and use of Wikipedia web-based resources, leading to a substantial enhancement in the quality of patient-physician interactive dialogue. The system has demonstrated notable progress in comprehending patient needs and offering precise treatment options.

Two researchers (Y Li and Y Liu) managed and selected the literature, following this screening process: first, titles and abstracts were independently screened by the researchers. Full texts were obtained if at least 1 reviewer believed an article met the inclusion criteria. Subsequently, 2 reviewers independently verified the eligibility of references through full-text screening. If disagreements on inclusion arose and could not be resolved through discussion, a third reviewer (JM) was consulted.
