Perceived self-efficacy for coping with challenges and threats was measured using the 9-item Trauma Coping Self-Efficacy Scale (CSE-T) [34]. Participants were asked to rate their capability to handle a series of posttraumatic situations (eg, “Deal with my emotions [anger, sadness, depression, anxiety] since the traumatic event,” “Manage distressing dreams or images about the traumatic experience”), on a 7-point scale ranging from 1 (“not at all capable”) to 7 (“totally capable”).
