First, despite the plethora of industry association reports and white papers with sources of information on ransomware available to health care providers, information about the current news media landscape regarding this issue could provide health care providers with a better understanding of how to manage the publicity of these events. For instance, news stories report on how health care providers manage their health care informatics systems and how they handle cybersecurity attacks.

Non-Hispanic Black or African American pregnant individuals experience maternal mortality rates approximately 2.5 times higher than their White counterparts, with non-Hispanic American Indian or Alaska Native women facing rates three times higher [2,3]. Cardiovascular conditions, perinatal depression, and preexisting medical conditions are among the leading contributors to these disparities [4,5].

The majority of participants were female (n=29, 88%), non-Hispanic White (n=24, 73%), and daughters of individuals with ADRD (n=21, 64%). Participants’ ages ranged from 23 to 78 (mean 55.2, SD 12.7) years. The time since the relative’s diagnosis of ADRD ranged from 0.4 to 14.2 (mean 4.8, SD 3.8) years.

Patterns of Internet Use in People Diagnosed With Severe Mental Illness: Qualitative Interview Study
Most participants (15/16, 94%) were White British. Most (13/16, 81%) were not employed at the time of the interview. The participants varied in the extent to which they used digital devices and the internet, from limited use to frequent use.
Semistructured interviews were conducted following a topic guide (Multimedia Appendix 1).

Because Scotland’s population is predominately White (only 4% are Asian, African, Caribbean or Black, mixed, or members of other ethnic groups) [86] and because we wanted to include diverse sexual minority women’s perspectives, we chose to also collect data in the United States.
