Erbe D et al [28] compared the interformat reliability of the paper-and-pen version with a computerized version of the PHQ-9 in a clinical sample and obtained comparable internal consistency between the computer (α=.88) and paper versions (α=.89), and highly significant correlations between the formats (r=0.92). The PANSS is a widely used and valid instrument for the assessment of symptom severity in schizophrenia; test-retest reliability for the total score and subscales is reported as 0.77‐0.89 [27,27].

Match-It in R was used to match the propensity score by the number of patients with AD and the number of patients diagnosed with AD by the HCP. Exact matching was used for profession, specialty, and the first 2 digits of the ZIP code. An independent samples t test showed no statistically significant difference in the number of patients with AD seen in the preperiod by the CME and matched control groups (t=−0.24; P=.81).

R (R Foundation for Statistical Computing) will be used for data cleaning and main analyses. Distributions of key outcome variables will be assessed and transformed if necessary. Unless otherwise specified, hypothesis tests will be conducted using a 2-sided α level of .05. EMA responses will be aggregated to derive scores for each of the 4 food parenting practice domains during each data collection period.
