Randomized controlled trials have provided robust evidence supporting the efficacy of VR-CBT in improving outcomes in anxiety disorders, psychosis, eating disorders, and trauma-related conditions in adults (see Bell et al [2] for a review). However, relatively limited research has explored the potential therapeutic applications of VR beyond exposure-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approaches, and research in youth is highly limited [2,5,6,16].
